Product Updates

What we've been building

Every improvement and fix we've shipped to One Kehilla, newest first. We update One Kehilla continuously - here's the record.

  1. v2.0.12 Current

Faster sending for large shuls, and picture fixes

    • No more false "Message was not sent" errors Sending to a large shul could take several minutes, and the page would show an error even though every message went out. Now the page confirms right away that your message is sending, and lets you know when it has gone to everyone.
    • Pictures go out without extra text When you text a picture to the shul number without typing any words, members now get just the picture. They no longer get the words "only image was sent" with it.
    • Member replies with no words are no longer lost Some replies from members that had no words in them were not being saved. They now show up in your messages like any other reply.
  2. v2.0.11

    Safer sign-up

    • New accounts confirm their email first After signing up, you'll get an email with a link. Your account and shul are created once you click it, so nobody can sign up using someone else's email address.
    • Protection against automated sign-ups The sign-up page now blocks automated programs and limits how many accounts can be created from one place in an hour.
  3. v2.0.10

Shul Settings and text sign-up fixes

    • Email is no longer required to save Shul Settings The email address can now be left blank when saving Shul Settings.
    • Clearer error when Shul Settings can't save A missing required field now shows a red alert, matching the rest of the app, and it stays on screen until you dismiss it instead of disappearing on its own.
    • Members can text START to rejoin Members who previously texted STOP can now text START to rejoin, even when new sign-ups are turned off.
  4. v2.0.9

A new updates page, and a scheduling fix

    • A page for product updates Click the version number at the bottom of the menu to see everything we've added and fixed, newest first, in plain language.
    • Scheduled messages now send on the selected date Some scheduled messages were not sending on the date they were set for. This has been fixed, and messages now send correctly based on the scheduled date and time.
    • The user menu opens again The menu under your picture would not open, so Logout and My Profile could not be reached. The menu opens again, and logging out now signs you out and returns you to the public site.
    • Steadier confirmation pop-up The alert that confirms an action now stays in one place and keeps a single width, instead of shifting around depending on how long the message is.
  5. v2.0.8

    Automatic clean-up of bad numbers

    • Numbers that can't receive texts are switched off for you When a number can no longer receive text messages, that contact is now turned off automatically. You stop paying to retry it on every broadcast, and your delivery failures list stays focused on problems worth looking at.
    • Fixed saving a one-time scheduled message Creating a schedule set to run once could fail to save. This has been fixed.
  6. v2.0.7

Cost calculator on the pricing page

    • See your estimated cost before signing up The public pricing section now includes a calculator. Enter how many members you have and how often you send, and it works out your likely monthly cost.
  7. v2.0.6

    More accurate billing totals

    • This month's total settles on the real amount Your current month's total now updates automatically as final message prices come in, so the figure you see lands on the true amount rather than an estimate.
    • Voice calls no longer show the wrong result Refreshing delivery status could confuse a voice call with a text message and report the wrong outcome. Calls and texts are now looked up correctly.
  8. v2.0.5

Live delivery status for every message

    • Messages are tracked until delivery is confirmed Every message is now followed from the moment it is sent until it is confirmed delivered or failed. The Messages page shows what actually happened, rather than only that the message was sent.
    • Nothing stays stuck on pending An automatic check picks up any result that arrives late, so statuses no longer sit unresolved.
    • More reliable text-in confirmations The automatic reply someone receives when they join by texting in is now sent through a more dependable route.
  9. v2.0.4

Easier to review who received a message

    • Recipients open in a side panel Viewing who received a message now slides open a panel sized to the list, instead of pushing the rest of the page around. Members who were deleted after the message went out remain visible, so your history still makes sense.
    • Failed sends are called out, successful ones tucked away Messages that did not send are shown first, with the long list of successful sends collapsed by default.
    • Clearer message history columns Columns are ordered so the most useful information reads first, and the column toggle now lines up correctly on smaller screens.
  10. v2.0.3

    Billing sorted newest first

    • Current month at the top The billing table now lists the most recent month first, so the bill you care about is the one you see.
  11. v2.0.2

Clearer costs and a better public page

    • The cost preview matches your actual bill The estimate shown before you send now prices voice calls correctly and displays amounts smaller than one cent, so it lines up with what you are charged.
    • Privacy Policy and Terms added Both are now available from the public page, along with a back-to-top button for easier reading.
    • Easier ways to reach us The public page now shows a phone number you can call or text, and uses info@onekehilla.com as the contact address.
  12. v2.0.1

Messages redesigned and faster member saves

    • Messages page rebuilt The Messages page now matches the new design, making it easier to read your history and see what was sent to whom.
    • Faster member saves Saving a member is noticeably quicker, especially for shuls with large member lists.
    • Fixed editing a member's phone book entry Changes to a member's phone book entry could fail to save. They now save correctly.
    • Better member form on a phone Form fields stay side by side on a phone instead of stretching into one long column.
    • Scheduled messages appear once you are set up The scheduling option is hidden until a phone number has been configured, so it does not appear before it can be used.
  13. v2.0.0

A new look for One Kehilla

    • The App has been redesigned A new sidebar, cleaner pages and a consistent look across the Dashboard, Members, Messages, Billing and Settings.
    • Works properly on a phone and tablet Pages now adapt to smaller screens rather than assuming a desktop browser.
